I'm So Glad When Daddy Comes Home

Yesterday, Ty finally came home from the Phlippines. It was a long two weeks but we made it through. Ty had a good experience over there and he is grateful for that but more importantly he is so happy to be home. As you can tell Isabella is just as happy!:) Yeah!

10 Year High School Reunion

I had the opportunity this weekend to go to my 10 year high school reunion. It started off Friday with a family BBQ. If it wasn't for chasing my daughter around all evening, I probably could of visited more with people. It was nice to see people though that I haven't seen in a long time. It was also nice to see how many people had kids. Saturday night we had our non kids event at the Woodland Park Zoo Pavilion. That was awesome to be able to see and talk to people that I haven't to in ten years. It was nice too because I feel like since high school I have changed to the point that I felt more comfortable going and talking to people that I maybe never would of ten years aso. We were still missing a couple hundred of the people we graduated with but those who were there, it was great to see. Overall it was a great weekend and I am really happy that I had the chance to see old friends again.:)

More Painting:)

So last night my dad and I taped up our kitchen and family room and it took like four hours in preperation to paint. I could hardly wait to get up this morning and start. First off, Sommer(bless her heart) took Isabella all morning for me so she wouldn't get into everything. Thank you to Sommer and her kids for tiring Issy out because when I got back from picking Issy up, she went right to sleep for her nap. By the time she got up we had everything done. My wonderful mother and father in-law came down for the day to help paint as well as my dad. It was so nice of Jen as well to help out in the afternoon for a bit. Also to have Becky stop by and visit was awesome as well. I feel so blessed to have gotten all the help that I did. I am grateful for my wonderful family and extended family who help transform my downstairs of my house. It has made this week go by fast getting all the painting done. I can't wait to get the rest of the house done.:) I love it!

Painting my Bathroom!:)

So, while Ty is gone, I thought I would give myself a project to get done. Today I painted the bathroom. Along with help from my wonderful neighbor/buddy Jen we accomplised just that. She helped me all day long and I am so grateful.:) I have never had the opportunity to paint my own home before and it felt great to have my first painting experience done. We went with a sage green. You can't see it that great in the pictures. Next I will be tackling the kitchen and family room. When Ty gets back I will have him help me with the bedrooms and hall way. I can't wait to get it all done and see my home sweet home.:) What a day!:)

1 Year Family Anniversary!:)

Today is our one year family anniversary. It was this weekend exactly to the date today one year ago that we were sealed for time and all eternity as a family and to our beautiful daughter Isabella. It is hard to believe it was a year ago. Time sure does fly. We are so grateful for the blessing of our daughter and the way she came to us. We know that it was meant to be and I will never forget that day and feeling I felt in the temple that day. I am grateful for the friends and family who were there to celebrate that day with us. Thank you!:) I am so grateful for the gospel and the blessing of being with our families forever!:)

Off to the Philippines

Ty left today for the Philippines for business. He will be spending two weeks in Manila doing some work there for Microsoft. It really hit me last night that he was leaving for so long. We have never been a part from one another for more than 4 to 5 days in the seven years we have been together. I know this is part of the job but it is hard all the same. I know he will be ok and thank goodness for family and friends close by who are there to keep Isabella and I busy while he is away.:) My heart is with him!:)

FHE at the park!:)

Just recently the park that was built right by our home opened. We had been waiting for a few weeks for it to open. Issy loves to go down there and play. It has a perfect play structure for all ages as well as a basketball court, tennis court and big grass field for the kids to run around. Ty and I took Issy down last night for FHE and we enjoyed seeing her excitment there. There is no better thing than seeing your childs joy in things.:)

My Week

It has been a busy but great week!:) Last Sunday we enjoyed going up to my in-laws for my sister-in-law Tessa's b-day celebration. She turned 11. I know a sister-in-law who is 11.:) Monday was a great day! Ty took the day off and we spent the morning up at the Brazilian store in Kirkland getting some stuff that Ty loves from his mission. I was able to go with Becky and Erin J to Erin C's house in the afternoon to help her out all afternoon with her beautiful babies. What a blessing those little ones are. I am so grateful that we all are so close and it makes it easy to help one another out when we need it. I came home and then seriously started my training for the half marathon. I ran 2 miles and it felt like I was going to die. I went on to run five times this week and I have to say that I was a lot more sore the beginning of the week than I am today. I can't wait until I get to a point where it won't hurt to run.:) Ten more weeks to go! Monday night we spent FHE with the Simon's eating Nachos and playing Ticket to Ride(America addition). On Tuesday morning it was gloomy but Jen and I still ventured to the park by our house with Erin J and her kids. We met up with Sommer and her kids there and we let the kids play for a while with the mist and all. Kids don't care if it is rain or shine. Just as long as they can play outside. Tuesday night we ventured to Ty's softball game in the rain. I spent the game inside the dugout trying not to get soaked with Emily Hastings. It was great getting to know another neighbor better. Wednesday Jen and I headed to Factoria mall and met up with Amanda. We did a little shopping and had lunch together. That night Ty and I ventured over to the Reynolds for a fun game night. We played the Europe edition of Ticket to Ride and in the second game I finally won! Wooohooo! We have enjoyed so much getting to know people in the ward and making a lot of new friends.:) Thursday morning we went down and met up with Mary Conley who was in town again for breakfast with my mom and sister. That was fun!:) Thursday night Ty, Issy and I enjoyed a wonderful night at home as a family. Those night are always good and always important for sure!:) Friday Issy and I walked with Erin J and her kids up to a park and met Erin C, her mom and babies there as well as Becky and her little Lucy. We let the kids run around and it was nice to just hang out all together. Erin C's mom was the highlight for the kids especially my Issy. She loved her!:) Friday evening we threw a BBQ with the Simon's. It was fun to have the Hadleys, Jones, Hastings, Clarks, and some of our neighbors who live by us over as well. We always enjoy hosting fun BBQ's and socializing with people. It was a lot of fun! Then Ty and I came in and watched Rush Hour. Saturday morning I watched Rush Hour 2 in preperation for Rush Hour 3! We love our trilogies! Saturday Becky came up and ran with Jen and I. :) Then Ty and Nick decided to stain our deck's which looks so great. Then my parents came over and watched Issy for us. Ty and I headed to a bunch of places like Nordstrom Rack, Best Buy, Home Depot. We had a lot of errands to run since it is Ty's last Saturday for a few weeks. He heads out for the Phillipines on Friday.:( Then we went and saw Rush Hour 3. It was very funny!:) We headed to Target and home for the evening. Overall it was exciting week. This next week should be fun as well but I am not looking forward to Ty leaving for two weeks. Good thing there is a lot going on at the time!:) Thank goodness for family and friends!:)

BASEBALL RECORDS

Ty took this cool picture the other nigth at Safeco field. We love our sports and yesterday I just have to say how amazing it is to be alive for such cool sports records. First off Barry Bonds tied the baseball record of most homerun with 755. On top of that Alex Rodriguez broke the record for the youngest player to 500 homeruns at the age of 32. What a cool thing to witness. I just wanted to blog about it so I would never forget that day.:) I hope you all had a happy weekend!:)

Date Day/Night

My husband and I were so lucky to have been able to have a full afternoon and evening together yesterday. My parents tooks Issy and we had a great time. We first headed to Seattle for the Seahawks Scrimage. That was fun to see them do their drills and stuff. As everyone who knows us, knows that we LOVE our sports and especially we LOVE our Seahawks!:) Ty and I got these great pictures while there. After the scrimage we went and saw the Bourne Ultimatum. we had spent the last couple days watching the Bourne Identity and the Bourne Supremcy to get ready for the movie. I am so glad I did because if you don't watch at least the 2nd Bourne movie before you see the 3rd you might get lost. It was a great movie! I had such a nice time with Ty and we really enjoyed being able to enjoy each other and do some fun things. It makes me realize that we need to take more advantage of date nights when we can.:)

Summer Fun!:)

I have taken a bunch of pictures of my little Issy having fun playing in the little pools and outside. I have really enjoyed being able to be home with her this summer and see how much she is growing and learning. She has so much fun running around and playing in the "waters" as she calls it. I am grateful for the beautiful sunshine that we have been given this summer.:)
