Pumpkin/Halloween Time

We had a great weekend this past weekend doing fun Halloween activities. We enjoyed having such great weather too!:)

On Friday night we went with the Simon's over to the Reynolds to celebrate Ben's birthday with him and carve pumpkins and play games. We had a great time chatting, laughing and carving our pumpkins. We always enjoy spending time with these two amazing families!:)

On Saturday during the day, we took Issy out to the Pumpkin patch in North Bend. It is a cute little farm with pumpkins, bunnies, horses and cows. Issy enjoyed walking around the fields and picking out a pumpkin to carve.:)

Saturday evening we went to our ward Halloween party. For some reason this ward doesn't do Trunk or Treat but it was still pretty fun.:) Issy enjoyed playing with the baloons and seeing all the kids. We enjoyed ourselves also and getting to know more and more people in the ward. I really do love this ward!:)

On Sunday night, Ty, Issy and I decided to carve the rest of our pumpkins together. Issy got a cute little pumpkin in nursery so we carved that too. It was fun to see how excited she got seeing us clean out the pumpkins and carve then. She even helped me with the pumpkin seeds. We cooked them up and she loved eating them. It was so cute:) We had a great weekend with our friends and celebrating this fun time of year.:) We can't wait for Halloween day!

Our Hawaii Trip

We just got back from a amazing week in Hawaii. Ty and I left last Monday to Oahu. We stayed at the Alo Moana Hotel for two nights in Waikiki. We had a great time relaxing in the sun, shopping and we also hiked Diamond Head. We couldn't of asked for better weather the whole week we were there. The tempeture didn't go below 85 degrees. On Wednesday night our wonderful neighbors Jen and Nick Simon joined us in Hawaii and we all drove up to the North Shore. We stayed with a great couple in their basement in Haleiwa on the North Shore. We were rigth down the street from Sunset Beach. We spent a lot of time beach hoping and playing in the ocean. We also enjoyed reading on the beach and being goofy as well. We spent some time in old Haleiwa with Nick's cousin for a evening. We also went to the temple grounds and visitor center. We enjoyed going to the International Market and the Aloha Stadium for the swap meet. We ended our trip by going to the Polynesian Cultural center on Saturday night which was our last night there. It was so nice to be able to enjoy ourselves there and learn about the islands. Ty really loved learning more about his culture(since he is a party Hawaiian). We loved the Luau food and the night show was amazing. Ty and I loved the loud drums from Tonga! Yeah! The only down side was that Ty was passing Kidney stones while we were there. He was trooper though throuhout it all and we still had a great time.:) We will be back there for sure someday. It was a TRUE Paradise!:)

Our Weekend With Laura

This last weekend our daughter's birth mother Laura and her friend Sharon came up and visited from Arizona. Laura had never been to Seattle before and we were excited to show them around. It was such a special time to be able to share together. We spent Friday at Pike's Place Market(thank goodness for a day of sunshine) walking around and they even got to see the fish being thrown. We then headed way up Queen Anne hill to get some amazing views of Seattle and some pictures. We then headed to the Spaghetti Factory that night for dinner(one of our families favorites). Saturday we met up at the temple and got some fun pictures there. It was neat to be able to show Laura where we were sealed as a family. We then headed over to Salmon Days in Issaquah. We were again thankful that the rain held off for the most part to be able to walk around, get some good food and see the Salmon swim. Laura was excited to see that!:) We then took them out to see Snoqalmie Falls which is always a must with visiters. It was just as beautiful as ever. By the time we got back to our house, the rain had started. We were grateful we were able to see so many things without the rain. That night we just ordered pizza and enjoyed some good company of some friends. It was cool for Laura to be able to meet some of our good friends like the Jones, Simons, and Reynolds (she also met Erin C up at the falls when were were there). Sunday Laura and Sharon woke up and took a nice drive over to the Peninsula. They then headed to our house after conferences and my family, Ty's family and our good friends the Flowers, Lathrops and Simons came over so Laura could meet all of them. I was overcome with emotions when I walked to a door way and saw my mother, my mother -in-law and Laura standing there. My mom and my mom-in-law were in tears thanking Laura for giving them their granddaughter. It was a moment I will never forget. My mother was overcome with emotions all night. Issy is the light of my parents eyes and for my parents to finally meet the person who brought Issy into this world was amazing for them. It was such a special night. Laura and Sharon then had to leave for the airport that night. It was such a amazing experience for Laura to be able to see where we live and all the love that surrounds Isabella. Last night after everyone had left, I sat on the couch holding my precious daughter in my arms as she fell asleep and realized that I am the luckiest woman in the world to have such a special daughter. Hearing her breath as she slept on my chest after such a busy and emotional weekend was one of the greatest blessings I have ever had in my life. I love my husband, I love my beatiful daughter and we love Laura.:)

Painting is Done!:)

After a month and a half of picking out colors and buying paint and supplies, our house is finally finished being painted. Let me tell you that is was a long project but a fun one. We are so gratefuul to the family and friends who helped us get our house the way we love it. Thank you! It was such a cool thing to see the transformation into really our own home. I love all the colors that we picked and really fill that they fit well with our house. I think my kitchen and Issy's room are my favorite.:)
