My Little Soccer Player

Anyone who knows me, knows that I love soccer!:) For Issy's birthday my dad got her these little soccer nets and soccer ball. He also got her some shin guards and soccer cleats as well. Yesterday the weather was so beautiful and my parents were over for dinner so we got the nets out and taught Issy to kick a soccer ball. She had done it before but never into a net and never as good as she did yesterday. I can't wait to get her into soccer this fall!:) This was a proud mommy moment for me!:)

This was before we pulled her soccer cleats out of the closet. Look at that height she got on the ball!:)

After we got her soccer cleats and shin guards on! She is my little left footer!

She is working on her ball handling skills!

Everyone Needs to Pamper Themselves Sometimes

For a birthday present last month, I got a pedicure from my friends Sommer and Marlo. This last Saturday we all went together to get a pedicure. We went to this little nail salon place down on Railroad Avenue in old downtown Snoqualmie. They were amazing and we are for sure all going back there. Thanks, Marlo and Sommer!:)

Isabella's First Haircut

When Isabella was turned 2, she barely had hair to her shoulder. In the last year, her hair has grown a ton. The last few months I have noticed that her hair was growing down her back in kind of a point. I always had to curl it or else you could tell how uneven it was. I was so scared to cut it because I love her long hair. Anyhow, I was getting my hair done last week and talking with my great hair lady, Amanda I decided to take Issy in. Amanda told me that it would probably continue to grow really uneven if I didn't get it cut and fixed. So on Tuesday, I took her in to my salon here on the Ridge called Acacia. I was scared if Issy would sit there but she was so shy and nervous she sat really still. Amanda did a great job and I am very happy with the result!:) I just can't believe how fast my little girl is growing up!

Brasil vs Canada

About a month ago, I get this call from Ty and he is so excited. He tells me that the Brasil national soccer team is coming to Seattle to play Canada in a match. I didn't even wait for him to ask me, I just told him to go ahead and buy tickets. As I have said in a couple past posts, Ty served his mission in Brasil. I was really excited for him to be able to go to this game. This kind of opportunity doesn't come around all that often.

Last night was the game and as we got to the stadium and found our way to our seats, we realized we were front row. Very front right by one of the corners(a great view for corner kicks). We were so excited and it was so fun for me to see how excited and happy my hubby was to be there. The game started and within 4 minutes a player named Diego for Brasil scored. He scored on our end and right after ran right to our side to celebrate. Pretty soon all the players came to join him. Ty was just snapping away at the pictures. We couldn't believe how close they were. We could of reached out and touched them. When we got home Ty got a call from his buddy Chad that told him we were famous. He was on Yahoo sports page and found a picture from that goal that a photographer had taken. We were in the picture. Here it is,

As you can see in the picture, Ty is taking a picture. Here are is the picture he got,

Ty got some amazing shots throughout the game. Here are a few more,
The guy looking towards the camera is Robinho. He is one of the best players in the world and he plays his league soccer for Real Madrid in Spain. We couln't believe he was right there.

The score of the game ended up being Brasil 3 and Canada 2. Canada had some amazing goals to go along with Brasil's goals but we were happy to see Brasil win. Being the sports lovers that we are, to be able to see a National Soccer team let alone Brasil(one of the best in the world) play is such a dream come true for us. I was so excited to have the opportunity and to be able to have it with my hubby!:)

GO BRASIL!:)
