We are a Sports Family!
In our family, WE LOVE SPORTS! Ty says it is one of the things that attracted him to me in the first place. We love to watch sports, play sports and attend sporting events. Issy has taken up this love of sports from us. Ty and I have really gotten into golf and so we got Issy some clubs and she did a little golf camp for a week a couple weeks ago. Ty was such a proud daddy watching his little girl learn the grip and practice her swing. The thing he was most happy about was her wanted to golf more and more. We love our little lefty girl!:)

A couple of months ago Ty and I attended a benifit auction for a foundation called Compassion2One. They help rescue sex trafficing children. Tys group at work all attended the benifit. They had a auction on a BBQ with some of the Seahawks and Tys team won the BBQ. A couple weeks ago Ty and I were able to attend that BBQ. It was so fun for us to meet Lawyer Melloy, Deon Butler, Justin Forsett, and a couple other players. We had a great time chatting with them and getting to know them. Ty was so excited! What a great evening!

On July 20th, Manchester United which is my favorite soccer team in the whole world came to Seattle to play the Sounders in a friendly. Of course we had to go. My parents and Ty and I were able to go and it was so cool to watch all these players I have seen on TV play live. I am a huge Sounder fan as well so although I was happy to see Man U win, the 7 to 0 bomb was a little hard to take as a Sounder fan. Seeing Wayne Rooney score a hat trick though was awesome! We had a awesome time!:)

Palm Springs Getaway
For the 3rd year in a row, my parents rented a house in Palm Springs over the 4th of July Holiday. They rent a air conditioned house with a huge pool. We spent almost a week relaxing and playing in the pool, golfing Indian Wells and the Greg Norman course, shopping and eating good food. We also celebrated my moms 57th birthday. It is always a fun time and we enjoyed the heat since we haven't gotten much here in Seattle this summer! It was also fun to have my sister and her best friend Lindsey join us with my sissys dog Ellie. We had a great time!:)

A Year Has Past and he is LIVINGSTRONG
On June 30, 2010 Ty got his diagnosis of his cancer. We can't believe it has already been a year. On June 30th of this year we headed to Palm Springs to celebrate that Ty has fought through a hard year and he is still going strong. Ty is the strongest person I know. He has gone through several chemo treatments as well as Radiation. Through it all he has remained positive throughout and continues to fight each and every day. I love you Ty! S^2C and LIVESTRONG!:)

End of the School Year Milestones
Issy had some milestones and some fun stuff happen the last few weeks of Kindergarten for her. First off a week before school ended I went on a field trip with Issy and all the Kindergarteners to the zoo. It was fun to see Issy with her friends from school and see her excitment at seeing all the animals with them.

In mid June Issy had a graduation from Kindergarten. It was so nice for Ty and I as well as our moms and my sister to be able to go to her little graduation in her class. Issy loved Kindergarten and enjoyed her teacher Mrs West. It was so sad as a mom to see the sadness in her eyes when she found out Mrs West wouldn't be her teacher anymore. I am so grateful Issys first experience with school was such a great one. I also can't believe she is 6 and headed to full day school in First grade soon. Congrats our little girl! We love you!

Shortly after Issy 6th birthday she got her first loose tooth. She was so excited! She wiggled it for a good 2 weeks before it finally was time to try and get it out. So, Ty got some dental floss and tied it around the tooth. When he went to pull it, the tooth disappeared. Issy got all scared and was coughing into the toilet. We didn't see it come out in the toilet so we think she might of swallowed it. We convinced her she spit it in the toilet because the thought of her swallowing it scared her really bad. She was worried she wouldn't get anything from the tooth fairy so we wrote a note to the toothfairy and put it under her pillow. When the tooth fairy went to her wallet, she felt bad so bad that Issy got 5 dollars. She was very excited the next day!:) Issy is getting so big so fast. I love my little girl!:)

My Birthday Week
I am fortunate enough to have such wonderful friends and family in my life. So, all of them made my whole week leading up to my birthday full of fun experiences. First my sister works as Snoqualmie Casino and Vicki from the Real Housewives of Orange County was there to promote a event. My sister gave me a call and told me to come down. I took my friend Jen and we were able to go back by Vicki's dressing room and meet her. She was really nice and it was cool to have that experience.:)
A couple of my friends planned a nice night out with the girls. I headed with my friends Sommer, Andrea and Lacey to dinner at Panera and then off to bowling. We had a great time talking, laughing and having fun together. Thanks girls for a fun night!:)
The night before my birthday, my parents gave Ty and I their Sounders season tickets for the game that day. They have club seats where we get food before the game and at half time. It was so nice to have comfy seats and see the game right on the half way line. Great time!:)
My birthday day was a lot of fun! My neighbor and great friend Jen had me over with my other friend Jen for a nice lunch together. Then that night we went with all my family and our good friends the Flowers to the Spaghetti Factory for dinner. We had a great time and I was so grateful for my family and friends for making my day wonderful!:)

The day after my birthday, Ty and I were able to go to Safeco Field and see the Mariners play the Yankees. Ty is such a good husband and has been going with me for years to see the Yankees play even though he doesn't like them all that much. Thanks love for a fun night!:)

It was a fun and eventful week!:)
