Botanical Gardens

This last Saturday night we decided to do something fun and different to celebrate the Holidays all month long. Us along with our friends the Reynolds and Simon headed to Bellevue to see the lights at the Botanical Gardens. It is free to get in and you walk around and see all the awesome colorful light of flowers, trees, etc. The kids had a great time and we had great weather as well. Afterwards we all headed to Roundtable for some yummy pizza and great conversation. We are so blessed to have such great friends to spend time with. Afterwards we headed to the Roddys so the guy could watch the big fight on TV and us girls could chat and the kids could play. It ended up being a great night and overall a great weekend. I love this time of year!

Thanksgiving Weekend and More

Instead of doing a few small posts, I thought I would do one big post for the last week or so. Last weekend, our good friend Erin took our family pictures for us. We went down by the train tracks here in Snoqualmie. It was really windy and so we weren't sure what the pictures would turn out like but we were very happy with the results. Issy was a trooper although she was freezing and Erin did a great job capturing us. Thanks Erin!:) Here are some of our favorites! On Wednesday before Thanksgiving we invited Ty's parents and sisters down and we all went out to eat at Mike's up here on the Ridge. It was nice to spend some time with them since we wouldn't be at their house for Thanksgiving this year. We all came back and played some games and had a nice evening. Then our neighbors and buddies, the Simons came over and we watched Get Smart. Let me explain what our movie experience was like. Ty fell asleep the first ten minutes. Then half way through Nick decided to go home. Jen and I were left to watch the movie and we cracked up the whole time. We really enjoyed the humor even if our husbands didn't. Thanks Jen for the laughs!:)Thanksgiving morning Ty woke up and went and played Turkey Bowl with the guys from our ward and the neighboring ward. He said he had a great time with all those men. He was sure sore later though. In the afternoon after watching some football we headed to my parents house for dinner with them, my sister, her boyfriend and our friend the Flowers. We all ate some great turkey thanks to my dad. We also had ham, rolls, and all the stuffings of a good Thanksgiving dinner. After we stuffed ourselves, we all looked at adds for Black Friday and talked and had a nice evening together. Happy Thanksgiving!:)Friday early morning I got up and picked up my friends Marlo and Amanda and we braved the crowds at six in the morning at Target. We actually had a really fun time. I never knew I could run into many old friends at 6 in the morning at Target. It was great to see my old friends Alisha and Tamie. After Target, we headed to Bath and Body Works, Ross, Michaels and Lowes. We all got a lot of shopping done and were home by 10:30am. I thought I would be really tired but I wasn't. So, Ty got out all our Holidays bins and Issy and I decorated while Ty ran and did some shopping of his own. When he got home we put up our Christmas Tree and decorated it as well. This was the first year Issy really enjoyed doing all the ornaments. It was a great family time! My mom then came out and her and I went to one of my oldest and closest friends Aubrey's baby shower. She lives in San Fran. with her hubby and this is their first baby. Her parents still live out here in North Bend. Her sister does as well and gave her shower for her. There was a pirate theme and they are having a boy. It was great to see Aub again and spend some time celebrating with her.:)Mom and I came back to my house and her and dad watched Issy and Ty and I headed to our wonderful friends the Reynolds house for some annual monthly games. I say annual because we always love getting together to play games together. Sommer's very nice father was there and joined us for some Metro and Pirates Cove. Thanks Reynolds for always giving us a fun time when we go over there.:0)

Saturday we relaxed all morning and then we headed out for some more Christmas and grocery shopping. In a five hour period, we hit Safeway, Target, Old Navy and Petco. We also headed over to Bellevue Square and met up with my parents for some dinner and shopping. Ty likes me to show him stuff I like for Christmas, take pictures of the items and then pick what he wants to get me from those items for Christmas. Kinda funny, I know! So, we went around the mall and had fun enjoying the hussle of the Holidays. Ty's family and my sister and her boyfriend then met us with my parents at the mall to watch the Snowflake Lane show that they have there. They have drummers come out and play Christmas music and they light up the buildings with colors and it is just a fun Christmas experience. Issy loved it! It was a great night!:)We ended the weekend on Sunday with a nice dinner at our friends the Christensens. They also had our other friends the Jones over and it was nice to have all the kids play together for a while so us adults could talk and hang out. It rounded out one busy but happy weekend!:)

Twilight!

Need I say more!:) This last Friday night about 14 friends and I decided to head to see the much anticipated movie, Twilight. We bought our tickets in advance and were all geared up for a fun night out together. The movie was great except for all the screaming teenage girls who made the whole movie experience a little loud and anoying. I was pretty happy with it though and can't wait to see it again. Thanks ladies for making the night so much fun!:)We waited in line a long time!

Gotta Love the Weekend!:)

We have another busy, but wonderful last couple of days in our household. On Friday night we headed out to celebrate our great friend's the Flowers little girls birthday. Olivia turned 5 on Friday. We went to our birthday joint, Ana's Mexican restaurant up here by our houses. Then we headed back to the Flower's for some presents and cake. We love this family like they were really our family. Happy Birthday, Olivia!:)
I loved this one of Issy in deep thought
Then I came home and went over to my neighbor Jen's house and we watched Baba Mama. It was pretty funny! We laughed a lot through the whole movie. These ladies are hilarious!
Saturday morning we woke up really early and I met my mom and sister at Nordstroms in Bellevue. My mom is good friends with a lady who works at the Kids department in Nordstroms. She asked us if we wanted to have Issy in the fashion show for the winter clothes for kids there at Nordys. We of course said yes. I was a little nervous on how Issy would do, but she wasn't as nervous as she usually is. She talked to the lady in the microphone and then she ran like lightening down the runway and back. It was so funny!:)Issy loves Auntie's Lip Gloss!Pucker Up!
That night Ty and I got to go on a date. My parents watched Issy and Ty and I went to see James Bond, Quantum Solace. Ty was really looking forward to this. I liked the movie alright but my hubby loved it. It was nice to just get away together. We then we for a nice dinner and rounded out our date night at Target to pick up a few things. It seems our date night always end up finishing at Target.:)
Sunday after church we enjoyed a nice cozy day at home. One thing I wanted to share with everyone is the 100 goal of one of my favorite soccer players. Those who know me know that I am a massive sports fan. I especially love following the Premiership Soccer in England. My favorite team is Manchester United(thanks Dad for that) and one of my favorite players in Cristiano Ronaldo. He is from Portugal and a amazing player and goal scorer. This weekend he made his 100 and 101 goal since being at Manchester. I wanted to share the 100 with you because it was a sweet goal. I hope you enjoy!:)
