The last few weeks

I have been meaning to sit down and blog since the new year but really it has been pretty mellow in our lives. Well, other than working on some stuff for the local bridal shows, fixing a bunch of stuff on our online profile for our adoption and then booking a trip to Southern California in Feb.:)

We have done a few fun things in the last couple of weeks. Last week we got together with our good friends at the Steiners house. The Browns, Lathrops and Hadleys joined us there as well. We all try to get together every few months amongst our busy lives to catch up and hang out. It is always nice to get together with old friends.:) We missed you, Burkes! This last weekend we had a nice low key weekend. Friday night we invited our friends the Christensens over for pizza and to hang out for a bit. Their twin boys Dylan and Lucas are so cute and Issy enjoyed the company as well.:)Saturday we went over to Ty's sister house in Fall City to celebrate his other sister Tiff's 27th birthday. We had some food and hung out and had a nice time. Tiff's daughter Addison is only a few month older than Issy so they always have fun together.:) Happy Birthday, Tiff!:)Ty's mom got Issy this really cute jumper and so on Sunday we put it on her for church. We took some pictures for Ty's mom and I thought I would post a couple. Now that we are into a new year, Issy has moved up in her church classes. She is now a Sunbeam. This is amazing to Ty and I because we can't believe she is growing so fast. We were a little nervous the first Sunday on how she would do. Yep, she cried for about a half hour of it. Thank goodness our good friends Marlo and Sommer are in the primary presidency because Marlo took Issy from me and pretty soon Issy finally stopped crying and enjoyed the rest of her first Sunbeam experience. The last two Sundays we have had no tears and she has enjoyed her time now at church. One of her teachers is my good friend Laurie so that helps that Issy knows her as well. The best part is when Issy comes home singing Jesus Wants me for a Sunbeam! I feel so blessed as a mother to have such a wonderful, fiesty happy little girl! I love you Isabella!:)

Happy New Year!:)

This year we had a great New Year!:) We got invited to some new friends who have moved into our ward, Kenna and Jayson Smith's house with a few other families. So, we headed over there for a few hours and enjoyed eating, socializing and watching my hubby sing on Rock Band!:) At 9 o'clock they had a New Year countdown for all the kids which was so cute complete with baloons and noise makers. Thanks Smith's for a fun time!:)We then headed back to our house and met my parents there. They wanted to come and spend the New Year with Issy. So, Ty and I headed over to our great friends the Reynolds to play a game and toast the New Year with them. We played a game called Pandemic which was pretty fun and then we got our soda(sparkling cider was all out at the store when we went earlier to get some) and turned on Dick Clark's New Years Eve special and toasted the New Year together! It was a fun night and we are so grateful to have been able to spend it with such great friends!:) HAPPY 2009 EVERYONE!:)

Christmas Time

We had a great Christmas this year. Christmas Eve we headed out in the Snowy weather and headed to Issaquah for lunch and present exchanges with Adam and Becky and my family. We met up at Panera Bread(one of our favorites) and had a nice lunch and time together. After a few last minute present stops, Ty, Issy and I headed up to Ty's parents for Christmas Eve night. They were surrounded by a winter wonderland up there. It was amazing! We had a great night of eating, opening presents, etc. Thanks Baileys for a great Christmas Eve. Ty, Issy and I ventured home from his parents and we got Santa's plate all ready with a big cookie for him, carrots for his reindeer and some milk also. Issy also drew Santa a picture!:)We woke up Christmas morning to more snow. Yeah a White Christmas! Also, to a lot of presents from Santa. We had a great morning just the 3 of us opening presents and hanging out.:)We got all showered up and dressed and headed out in the wintery weather to my parents house for the rest of the day. We spent the rest of the day opening presents, eating good food, playing games and just relaxing and having a wonderful Christmas day. Some of the highlights were when Issy opened her big pony from grandpa and grandma she says, "Oh my gosh, this is what I always wanted!" We got a good crack up at that. This followed later when shed opened a play cash register and stood up stone faced and put her hand out to my sister. She then said, "Give me your money!" Gotta love what kids are learning at a early age. Thanks, mom, dad, sissy and grandma for a fun and nice Christmad day!:)Merry Christmas Everyone!:)

A Week of Holidays, Snow and Sickness

This last week has been kind of a crazy one! It started off with Ty, Issy and I getting colds. It wasn't to fun but we are finally pulling out of them. Then last week it started to snow. It snowed one and off for a few days and it turned out being the biggest snow fall in a decade. To top it all off, there was a big wind storm with the snow fall that took power from us for only a few hours(thank goodness it wasn't longer) and when we woke up the next morning had snow drift of a foot or more high. Amongst being stuck inside being sick we decided to do some fun Holiday thing and we put together our Ginger bread house that we bought. Issy loved doing this with Ty and loved the frosting. Yesterday Ty shoveled our way to our car and we were finally able to get out and do some more Christmas errands and meet up with my family at PF Changs for a nice dinner. What a crazy week but Yeah for a white Christmas!:) Here are a few pictures from our week!:)
