Tulip Festival

Ty and I in our almost 8 years of marriage have never been to the Tulip Festival together. This year we decided to go up with our friends the Reynolds for the day. This last Saturday there was no rain and so we took the opportunity to go that day. Because we have had so much cold weather lately, there weren't as many Tulips in bloom I guess then they normally have. There were still a lot though and it was so beautiful to see the fields of different colors. We enjoyed walking around together, taking pictures and we even got to ride a tractor. It was so fun to see Issy and the Reynolds kids enjoying themselves in the flowers. On the way home we even stopped to get some ice cream at this place where the sign read, "Immodest Ice Cream Cones". We had to stop and see what it meant. We ended up waiting in a long line for this special ice cream. It was pretty amazing though because the single scoop was like 4 huge scoops of ice cream. Needless to say the kids enjoyed that. It was such a nice relaxing day with great friends! Thanks Reynolds for a fun day!:)

$5.00 Mariners Tickets

So last week I was playing around online and was on stubhub.com and found Mariner Tickets for last Thursday against the Angels for $5.00 dollars a piece. I thought oh these must be nose bleed seats. Oh no, they were section 135, row 17. This is right behind home plate closer to the Visiter dugout from the field. Never in years have I found a deal for tickets like this. The only catch was I had to buy them in a set of 4. So, I just bought them. With tax and everything the 4 tickets came to 25 dollars. A steal! The only problem was we called like 8 couples and everyone either had something that night or coudn't get a sitter. We decided to go anyway because we figured we still only paid like 10 bucks a ticket instead of 5. We sat in the middle of our 4 tickets so Ty and I had a chair open on either side of us. It was great, no one bumping into us at all! We enjoyed the game even though the Mariners lost and we were able to see Ichiro break the Japanese hitting record for the most hits by any Japanese hitter in history of baseball. That was pretty cool! It turned into a fun date night!:)

Happy Easter 2009

We had a great Easter weekend! On Saturday we had two Easter Egg Hunts. One with our ward up at a local park and one in our friend, Marlo's neighborhood. We braved the rain and headed out for a fun time. On Sunday we went to church and then had a nice rest of the Easter with Ty's family for a few hours and then with mine. I love Easter time and so does Issy! She is obsessed with Eggs and Chicks. I think once we head to Michael's or Target now and she sees that there is no more Easter stuff, I might be dealing with some tears. Her love of Eggs makes me laugh. She has all sorts of sizes of fake eggs to play with. She is my little egg lover for sure! What a great weekend and such a great reminder of Christ and what he did for us. Happy Eater everyone!

Everett Childrens Museum

This last week a couple of days after the zoo, we went with a few friends up to the Childrens Everett Museum. It is 3 stories and has the coolest things for kids to do. There is a main level with a big plane and truck for the kids to play in as well as a fire truck. There is also a water station, glow in the dark place, a little theatre area and a cute fake vet place and little ITalian eatery for the kids to pretend in. There is a tree house, a huge play set on the roof and in the basement there is a craft area and construction area. It was so fun to go and Issy loved it so much, she cried when we had to leave. It is worth the drive!:)this is my friend, Sommer's little guy Talmage. I thought this picture was just to adorable!
