A Tennessee Thanksgiving

This year my parents and us decided since my brother and his wifey can't fly right now with their baby, that we would go to them for Thanksgiving. My brother Jason and Jenny had a baby girl, Emma six months ago. She has some heart problems so the only way to see them is to go to them. So this past Monday, my parents, Ty, Issy and I headed out to Tennessee. We flew into Nashiville Monday night and we stayed at the Opryland Hotel. It was a amazing hotel with a water fall in the middle of it and cute shops and eating places. We enjoyed walking around to the shops and seeing the amazing hotel.Tuesday after going through some shops we drove the couple hours south to Chattanooga, Tennessee. Actually my brother lives outside of Chattanooga in a town called Soddy Daisy, Tennessee. We met him and his wife and baby at a fun Japanese restaurant with my sister-in-law Jenny's family who also lives in Soddy Daisy. We enjoyed eating and seeing our cute little niece Emma. After dinner, we checked into our hotel and headed over to my bros beautiful home. They live up a mountain on a golf course on a couple of acres. Their house is beautiful. Issy was so excited to see her Uncle Jason. They have a great phone relationship so it was fun for her to see him in person.Issy also loved seeing Uncle Jason and Aunt Jenny's dog, Charlie.Wednesday morning we woke up late after sleeping in. The 3 hour time difference was kind of hard on our bodies, especially Issy. We headed into Chattanooga for some lunch and then we met my bro and his family at the Chattanooga Aquarium. Jason and Jenny had to head to the doctor unexpectantly so they left little Emma with us as we went through this amazing Aquarium. It is one of the biggest I have ever seen. It had two sections, the Ocean and the River. Issy loved it and it was fun to see her excitment going through it. They even had a butterfly exhibit that you could touch the butterflies. We had a great time! After the Aquarium, we headed back to my bros house for the night to hang out, eat dinner and play games. It was fun to just spend time with them. It is also so neat for me to see my twin brother as a dad. He is such a good daddy!:)Thanksgiving day we woke up and had breakfast at IHOP. Nothing like good old IHOP to start a day!:) We then headed to my sister-in-law Jenny's parents house for the day. They made a huge Thanksgiving feast. We ate, watched football, played games and enjoyed hanging out for the day. It was a really great day! My mom bought matching dresses for Issy and little Emma so we got some cute pictures as well. It was a great relaxing Thanksgiving, that is for sure.Friday we got up and did some shopping with my brother. We then headed the couple hours back to Nashville and headed home to Seattle. Thanks, Jason and Jenny and sweet sweet little Emma for a nice trip. We sure do love you!

New Moon!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So this year to bypass the crazy screaming girls at the Theatre, my friend Sommer decided to rent out a Theatre in Redmond that seats 40 people. There are plush recliners and waiters to wait on you. It is very fancy and very nice. She put a lot of effort and time into planning all of this and it turned out great. We all met up for dinner beforehand and then headed over to the nice place for the movie. I was pretty empressed with New Moon. I think I really liked it more then Twilight. I have a feeling that I will keep on liking the movies better and better as each one comes out. It was such a fun night!:)

Happy Halloween

This year we had a great Halloween weekend. Issy chose to be a Butterfly this year! Friday night the weekend started with Issy going with her daddy to her preschool for a Father/Daughter pumpkin carving night. Ty didn't get any pictures but he said they had fun carving their pumpkin and Issy playing on the bouncy toy there adn with all her preschool friends.:)

That night Ty and Issy met me at the church for our ward Halloween party. We had chili and soup and there were games for the kids. Issy just ended up running around the church with all her friends all night. There was a great turn out with lots of people. I think it was one of the best activities that the ward has had.:)
Issy and her friend Kesley dressed up in the same costume!
On Halloween day we started the day by heading out to the Mount Si pumpkin patch. We try to go the pumpkin patch every year but this year was so busy we didn't make it until Halloween day. There were only a few pumpkins left so we just went through their little store and got some discount Halloween stuff for next year. We also got to see them throw a bunch of cows some pumpkins and watch them eat them. I never knew cows ate pumpkins. It was so funny seeing them fight over them. Issy loved it!!!!We then came home and carved our little pumpkins and cooked up the pumpkin seeds. Issy enjoyed doing all of that this year more then last. It was so much fun to see her excitment with everything. That night, we had our friends the Simons, Hastings and Atkinsons over for pizza before we all headed out around our neighborhood to Trick or Treat. My sister even stopped by. Trick or Treating was fun in a bigger group and the kids loved it as well. Issy sure did load up on some candy. It was so fun to see how excited she was this year with Trick or Treating. After a hour or so of going around the houses by our home, we headed up to our friends neighborhood. We always go to our friend Marlo and Sommer's houses who live right by each other. In between their houses is Issy's little crushes house. His name is Jace. She wanted to Trick or Treat at his house. It was funny because when we got to his door she got totally shy. My little girl is growing up way to fast. After that neighborhood, Issy was done for the night. We came home, dumped out all her candy so she could look at it and picked all the stuff she didn't like out of it. Overall is was a really nice Halloween and my little girl was the prettiest butterfly I have ever seen!!!!!
