I just wanted to share some great quotes that have been given to me over the past week or I have heard in church. There was a great lesson on Sunday in our Relief Society about Charity. It reminded me that I need to not be so selfish in life and looks towards helping others. I am grateful for the lessons that have been taught to me and for knowing that my Heavenly Father loves me and so does my family. I grateful to know that through Charity and hard times, we find happiness and recieve blessings.:)
There was a great talk that I was told to read by Marvin J Ashton from the Ensign in 1992. It is about not hurting people with words. I am grateful for this reminder in my life. Here is a great quote from there,
"We are reminded that Jesus Christ, the only perfect person to ever walk the earth, taught us through quiet example to say nothing or to be silent in stressful times in our lives rather than to spend time and energy bashing for whatever purpose."
This quote was given by our Relief Socity Teacher on Sunday,
"Perhaps the greatest charity comes when we are kind to each other, when we don’t judge or categorize someone else, when we simply give each other the benefit of the doubt or remain quiet. Charity is accepting someone’s differences, weaknesses, and shortcomings; having patience with someone who has let us down; or resisting the impulse to become offended when someone doesn’t handle something the way we might have hoped. Charity is refusing to take advantage of another’s weakness and being willing to forgive someone who has hurt us. Charity is expecting the best of each other"
And of course this is a quote from one my one of my favorite scriptures,
“Charity is the pure love of Christ, and it endureth forever.” (Moro. 7:46–47.)
I am grateful for my weaknesses and that I can make them my strengths. I am grateful for my husband, family and friends who accept me for who I am and love me through my faults. I am grateful for the opportunity to be able to help others and grow in that way. I am grateful for those special Sundays where you come away and really feel like you took something with you from church. I am just so grateful for the gospel in my life.:)

I just realized you made this post - it's awesome. Great quotes and insights. I enjoyed our conversation after this lesson - I could tell you were really inspired by it. That's cool that you went and searched for that talk by Elder Ashton. Good stuff. Thanks for sharing. This is the stuff we should see on blogs more often. :) :)
