A Shared Anniversary

When we moved last year, we met some great people from our ward, Sommer and Ben Reynolds. They are a amazing couple who we really get along with and always have a blast with. They have 3 adorable children, Wyatt, Kesley and Eden and one little baby boy coming in May. When we first hung out with them almost a year ago we were getting to know one another and found out we were married on the same day, April 26. Then as we got talking realized we were married in the exact same year, 2001. Then we realized we had the same sealing time. The only difference is that we got married here in the Seattle Temple and they got married in the Salt Lake City temple. So, we were actually sealed a hour a part because of the time change. We both couldn't believe that we found another couple with the same exact to the day anniversary as us.

Since Ty and I are headed to Cabo this weekend for our actual anniversary, the Reynolds and us decided to celebrate this last Friday night. We first headed for a session at the temple which was very nice and relaxing. After the session we headed into Seattle to the Ipanema Brazilian Grill. Not only did Ty serve his mission in Sao Paulo, Brazil but Sommer served her mission in Salvador, Brazil. We decided to celebrate our anniversaries with a good Brazilian meal. It is a Rodizio type restaurant which means you pay a fee per person and you have unlimited trips to the salad bar and waiters come around with sticks with all sorts of meat on them and they cut you pieces off depending on which meat you like. You can eat as much meat and stuff as you want. After a hour and a half I think I was the first one done becuase I was so stuffed. Sommer finished soon after me and we sat there and watched Ty and Ben go to town on that meat. I have never seen Ty eat so much in one sitting. It was great to be able to sit and have Ty and Sommer talk about their missions. It is always so nice to see the love that others have for the places that they served.

After dinner we all headed home to find a inch of snow waiting for us on the Ridge. Crazy that it snowed in mid April here.:) We had a great night with great company as always. We feel very blessed to have met such true, real and wonderful people. We are also happy to have started a great new tradition! Happy Anniversary, Reynolds!:)
