A 10 Year Celebration in Kauai

After a busy April and 6 weeks of Radiation treatment for Ty, him and I were excited to take off to Kauai for some relaxation and celebration of our 10 years together being married. We were excited to experience a new island together. When we got to Kauai one of the first things I noticed driving around was how green it was. Beautiful! We drove to Poipu Beach where we stayed which is considered the sunny side of the island. We stayed at the Marriott which was a really nice hotel. After we checked in, we went walking on the beach and realized quickly that there are chickens running around everywhere. It was pretty funny! For the next week we slept in, layed by the pool, and went golfing. We were able to golf the Kauai Lagoons and Poipu Bay Beach Club. They were amazing courses and Ty and I really enjoyed golfing on them. We also went on a Catamaran Tour of the Northern Coast of Kauai. Unfortunantly Ty got sea sick and layed down the whole time and missed all the beauty. I loved it though and was so grateful to see the beauty of the island. Ty and I also ate at yummy restaurants and went to a Luau one night as well. It was so nice to just spend a week together and hang out. I realize more and more in this last year how important my marriage and my husband is to me. We have been through a lot but we are closer then ever now. I am grateful for the memories that we built together on this trip.
