Tys Update

Here is the email I sent around about Tys last scans and doctor appointment last week.:)

Hello all our family and friends,

So on Friday we went into see Tys doctor again on Friday as another follow up appointment. Ty had scans a week ago again. On Friday we found out that his main Tumor in the Rectom is stable and small still. His liver spots all went down in size by 1 to 2 mm which is awesome in a month. We were very happy to hear this. So, Tys doctor has a new plan for Ty and his treatments.

He will be going in to do one more Chemo treatment this week on Wednesday. Then he will have about a month off. On August 16th we are going into UW Medical and Ty is going to be doing this liver procedure. It is called Sir Spheres. Basically it is a more directed treatment to Tys liver to get rid of the cancer that has spread there. We are very happy to have this opportunity for Ty to be able to do this. He is a small discription of what this is, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SIR-Spheres. This treatment will most likely be done in the month of September. After we get through this process, Tys doctor will scan him again probably around the beginning of October. If things look good and it looks like this worked, Tys doctor would like to give Ty 6 to 12 weeks off from any treatments. Ty was so thrilled to hear this.

We are so grateful that Ty is doing better. It has been a long year for us and we know that through these trials blessing will come. We believe that and we know it. We have faith in our Heavenly Father that he will continue to bless Ty and our family. We appreciate again all your prayers, fasting and love that continues to come our way. We have the best support in the whole world. We feel that support and love on a daily basis.
