Soccer Season in Seattle is back!
Last week our friends the Hawkers got some extra tickets to the Sounder season opening game for us so we headed down to Qwest field with Issy to enjoy the game. We had great seats and since Ty and I love soccer so much, we were way excited to see the Sounders hopefully win against the Philly Union. Issy enjoyed the first half of the game expecially because her friend Aliya was up sitting with us. After some food and with about ten minutes left to go in the game she was ready to go. We were just happy she lasted that long. The Sounders ended up winning 2 to 0 with a great goal. It was such a great start to their season. Heres hoping to more great games like that! Go Sounders!:)

Our last couple weeks at a glance
We again have had some busy weeks. I can't believe it is March already. I feel like I have done so much yet there is never time to get everything done. 2010 is turning out to be a crazy but really fun year so far!
Last week Issy had been wanting to go to Chucky Cheese so for family night we headed over there. We took along Issy little friend Alyia. If you ever want to go to Chucky Cheese, go on a Monday night. No one was there and the girls had a blast running around and playing all the games. Ty and I even got into winning tickets for them. You are always a big kid at heart, right?!?!?!?!:)

Our good friends, the Flowers, son Jacob had a birthday last week. He turned 14! We helped celebrate with him. This was big for me because I use to watch him when he was a baby. I am really feeling old now! Happy Birthday, buddy!
One of my best friends, Amanda turned 30 last week. For her birthday, her husband Chad threw her a big Surprise party. Her parents came up and Surprised her as well. It was a cruise type party and her mom surprised her with a trip to California which they left on the day after. It was a great night celebrated with her family and friends. Happy Birthday, Amanda!
Last Saturday night I had the opportunity to go up to the Snoqualmie Ridge Golf course with Ty for a benefit auction/charity event. Ty along with the members of his whole team at Microsoft were there. The foundation we were there for is called Compassion2One. It helps raise money for Sex Trafficing. They use the money and build safe houses for girls/boys/children who are stollen or sold into Sex Trafficing and Prostitution. They rescue these people of the streets and put them in homes and give them clothing, food and education until they are at legal age. It was amazing to learn the numbers and facts that go along with this. This is the 2nd highest crime in the world and hardly anyone is aware of it. The man whose life is loosely based after the movie Taken even came and spoke. This hit close to home for Ty and his team at work because they work on the Abuse side of Microsoft and deal with certains issues like this on a daily basis. I was so grateful to be able to be there with my husband and support him and his work. Also to gain some knowledge on something that is so serious in the world today.
On Sunday after this auction all I wanted to do was just hug my little girl when she woke up. I did and after she got all dressed and ready for church I got this picture of her. I am so grateful to be her mom and have her in my life. Being a mother is the greatest blessing I have been given on this earth!:)

Birthdays and Visits
These last couple of weeks have been a little hectic in my family. Last week I got a call from my mom that my grandma was being tacken to the hospital. After a MRI and some tests it was determined that she had a Stroke. Her left side of her body was affected. She has lost some vision in her left eye and so she has a hard time walking, eating, and seeing. After a few days being at Overlake, she was transferred to a Rehab Facility up here at Snoqualmie Valley Hospital next to our home. We have been to visit daily and my mom has practically lived there with her. My grandma has really just been sleeping on and off and the doctors said this could go on for another couple weeks. It won't be until after that when they will be able to see what lasting damage the stroke really has done to her body. Because of this last weekend we got a visit from my brother from Tennessee. Also, a few of my cousins came over from the Tricities as well. It was so nice to have my brother here and to have his help with my parents getting my grandma all settled. We sure do miss him and Jenny and little Emma. It was also nice to introduce my bro to a few of my friends who he has not been able to meet.
Amongst all the craziness, my hubby celebrated his 31st birthday. On his actual birthday, Feb. 18th, we had all our family over as well as a couple of our closest friends. We had a great night of pizza and cake and celebrating. A few days after we did a small celebration at our friends house. I got some ice cream cake for this and it eneded up in Ty's lap.!:) It was a great moment and I even got a picture of it. (The baby in the picture is our friends new little addition that Ty is holding). Happy Birthday, my love! I love Feb. because it is a lot of celebrations for love and for you!:)
