9 Years and Going Strong!!!!

On April 26th Ty and I had our 9th wedding anniversary! This year to celebrate we wanted to do something different. Ty got us a hotel for 2 nights in Seattle and we thought we would go and do all the things Seattle had to offer. We took off on Saturday night to Seattle and checked into our hotel. We then went and saw a movie called the Losers. Not bad! We then headed for dinner at Fox Sports Grill(love the TVs playing sports all around you)!:)

The next day we slept in and enjoyed taking our time getting ready for the day. We then spent the day just walking around Seattle and going into shops and just spending a quiet day together. The streets of Seattle aren't to busy on a Sunday. Just outside of Westlake there was this guy who was spray painting these amazing paintings. Ty and I sat and watched him at work and were amazed at his talent. Ty ended up buying one of his pictures of the Space Needle. We ended that night with a nice dinner at the Spaghetti Factory.

Monday morning(our anniversary) we woke up and headed down to Pikes Place. Ty let me pick out some flowers and we got some yummy donuts. We then headed back over to the Ipanema Grill (Brazilian Restaurant) which we had been to just a couple weeks back. We had their lunch buffet which was so good. Plus it is one of Tys favorite restaurant!:) After lunch we headed over to the Space Needle and went up to the observation deck. We hadn't been up there together ever in our time since dating and marriage so it was nice to do that for the first time on a anniversary. After that we headed home.

It was so nice to get away together. I am so grateful for a amazing husband who is so patient and loving. He is such a wonderful listener and friend. He makes me laugh and smile all the time. When he looks into my eyes I know that he loves me. He is tender and caring and such a special man. Thank you Ty for 9 wonderful years of marriage. I love you with all my heart!:)

Teaching Moments

We were having a problem getting Issy to clean her room. So we got some poster board and made a chart where she put a sticker on it everytime time she cleaned her room. After twenty stickers, she then could go and pick out a toy at the store. She loved the idea and she worked for almost two months to get this done. (We didn't count the times that I helped her clean her room). Early on in her chart we were at Target and she saw this toy she wanted. I told her we would have to wait until she filled her chart up. Everytime we went back to Target she would go down find that toy and look at it and say I can't get this until my chart is full of stickers. We it came time to go to the store and get her toy she went straight for the horse she wanted and got it. She was so happy to have earned it herself. It was such a great teaching moment and now we have a big chart for her to earn money towards our Disneyland trip coming up in May. I am so grateful for such a cute and special little girl and for these moments that make me feel so blessed to be a mother.:)

Brazilian Restaurant Fun

So a couple of weeks ago we went into Seattle to the Ipanema Grill. It is a Brazilian Restaurant. They bring meat on a stick to you table and they keep on coming back until you are stuffed. We went there with our good friends the Hawkers. Cody(our friend) and Ty both served their missions in Brazil so this was a extra treat for them. We had a great time eating and enjoying one anothers company!:) Yeah for good food!!!!

Happy Easter

Easter time is always a fun time in our house. Issy loves Easter Eggs, chicks and all the candy. Since Easter was on General Conference weekend we snapped some pictures the week before Easter getting ready to go to church.

The Saturday before Easter we had a big Easter Egg Hunt at a park near our house with a whole lot of our friends. Each kid takes ten eggs filled with candy and then they get hid and then each child gets to search for ten eggs. We have been doing it for a couple of years and it really is fun for all the kids. Issy had a great time!

We came home after that and colored Easter Eggs. Issy really enjoyed that this year because she could actually do it herself.
That night Ty and a few guys from our ward headed to Priesthood session and so I had the wives over with the kiddos for pizza and some playtime. It was great to socialize and have fun together. The kids had a great time too!!!Easter Sunday we woke up and headed to my parents for a Easter Egg hunt and brunch. Unfortunantly I woke up feeling flu like and so after my parents house, my mom brought me home to sleep and Ty headed with Issy up to his parents for Easter dinner and some fun! Even though I didn't have a great Easter day, Ty and Issy did which made me happy. Issy enjoyed the most spending time with her cousin Addison.

Happy Easter Everyone!:)
