Our Weekend With Laura

This last weekend our daughter's birth mother Laura and her friend Sharon came up and visited from Arizona. Laura had never been to Seattle before and we were excited to show them around. It was such a special time to be able to share together. We spent Friday at Pike's Place Market(thank goodness for a day of sunshine) walking around and they even got to see the fish being thrown. We then headed way up Queen Anne hill to get some amazing views of Seattle and some pictures. We then headed to the Spaghetti Factory that night for dinner(one of our families favorites). Saturday we met up at the temple and got some fun pictures there. It was neat to be able to show Laura where we were sealed as a family. We then headed over to Salmon Days in Issaquah. We were again thankful that the rain held off for the most part to be able to walk around, get some good food and see the Salmon swim. Laura was excited to see that!:) We then took them out to see Snoqalmie Falls which is always a must with visiters. It was just as beautiful as ever. By the time we got back to our house, the rain had started. We were grateful we were able to see so many things without the rain. That night we just ordered pizza and enjoyed some good company of some friends. It was cool for Laura to be able to meet some of our good friends like the Jones, Simons, and Reynolds (she also met Erin C up at the falls when were were there). Sunday Laura and Sharon woke up and took a nice drive over to the Peninsula. They then headed to our house after conferences and my family, Ty's family and our good friends the Flowers, Lathrops and Simons came over so Laura could meet all of them. I was overcome with emotions when I walked to a door way and saw my mother, my mother -in-law and Laura standing there. My mom and my mom-in-law were in tears thanking Laura for giving them their granddaughter. It was a moment I will never forget. My mother was overcome with emotions all night. Issy is the light of my parents eyes and for my parents to finally meet the person who brought Issy into this world was amazing for them. It was such a special night. Laura and Sharon then had to leave for the airport that night. It was such a amazing experience for Laura to be able to see where we live and all the love that surrounds Isabella. Last night after everyone had left, I sat on the couch holding my precious daughter in my arms as she fell asleep and realized that I am the luckiest woman in the world to have such a special daughter. Hearing her breath as she slept on my chest after such a busy and emotional weekend was one of the greatest blessings I have ever had in my life. I love my husband, I love my beatiful daughter and we love Laura.:)
