Parks, Concerts, Birthdays, Soccer and Fun

It has been a busy couple of weeks for us and we have had so much going on. First off after getting home from Palm Springs we were hit with a few days of cloudy weather. It was a far cry from the 100 degree heat we experienced down in Palm Springs. Instead of staying inside, we headed to a park in Redmond called Grasslawn with my friends Laurie and Sommer and their kids. We took lunches and let the kids play for a few hours. The kids had a lot of fun and of course it is always fun to have some adult time as well!:)On July 8th, Issy started her very first soccer class. We signed her up for a 8 week beginner class with our neighbor Taylor and Issy's other friend Haley. She loved the first day and then we just went back this last Wednesday and she loves it even more. I think we have a little soccer player on our hands and mom and dad couldn't be prouder. Here are some pictures from both practices.
Also on July 8th, one of my great friends Sommer had her birthday. On the 9th I told her I would pick her up to do something for her birthday. That is all I told her. I then planned a Surprise with some of her friends and we all headed to the Melting Pot. It was great because the waitress gave us the half priced happy hour prices and we didn't even have to sit in the bar. We had a great time stuffing ourselves with cheese and chocolate fondue. When I went to Sommer's house to pick her up, the ladies who were able to join us(a ton were busy or out of town) came too and jumped out and surprised Sommer. Here is the reaction that we got.
It was truly priceless! We had a great time! Happy Birthday, Sommer!:)
This last Saturday Ty headed to the Gorge with her buddies Chad and Ben to see Coldplay. They had a great time there and came home with lots of interesting and funny stories. They got great seats and said it was a amazing concert. I am so happy Ty had fun and was able to hang out with her buds. Here is a video Ty got there.
Every Thursday this summer us and a bunch of the moms from our church get together for Playgroup. We have been going to different water parks, beaches, etc. depending on weather. Yesterday we headed to Pine Lake Park. There is a little beach there with a nice dock. It was beautiful weather and the kids had a lot of fun playing. I think we ended up staying for almost 4 hours and Issy had so much fun she didn't want to leave. It was a lot of fun!:)
It sure has been a great summer so far!:)
