Palm Springs 4th of July
Last weekend, my parents wanted to get away for a fun 4th of July and my mom's birthday weekend. They decided on Palm Springs and of course we weren't going to complain. Yes, it was over a 100 everyday but the house that we stayed at, our "Vacation House" as Issy liked to call it had a nice pool and sat on the 8th hole of a private golf course on the PGA West. What more could we ask for. Ty got up with my dad 3 mornings in a row and they tried different golf courses out on the PGA West. Ty came home so excited after each one. Especially after the first day when he finally got his first birdie ever. He told me that he jumped up and down and screamed. Us girls just relaxed in the pool all day and ate lot of yummy food. Issy loved the pool. I wasn't sure how she would do but she was my little fish that is for sure. I think one day she stayed in the pool for 5 hours. At night we would venture out to do fun things. One day we went to a street fair, went shopping, to see Ice Age 3 and eat at lots of fun restaurants. My sister's roomate and friend came along with her and it was fun to have her there and get to know her as well. On the 4th of July we headed to downtown Palm Springs to a baseball stadium there. They had a amazing firework show that lasted over a half hour. It was a cool experience to celebrate the 4th somewhere different. Ty and I came home and realized how nice it was to just go away and relax for a few days. Thanks mom and dad for a wonderful weekend and Happy Birthday, mom!:)
